Ariel Han is a learning experience designer. She recently joined the Informatics doctoral program at UC Irvine. She is interested in maker education and learning computing concepts through design activity. Her goal is to create a playful learning experience that integrates computing technology with artistic activity. She enjoys utilizing various art materials such as paper, clay, and thin aluminum!
Ken Hawthorn was a consulting prototype engineer for 16 years before becoming a teacher. Ken founded the Mechatronics program at St. Raymond school in Menlo Park where k-8 students learn to blend electronics, coding and chassis design. For the '19-'20 school year Ken has accepted a position at Magellan International school in Austin. He offers PD and is always happy to help teachers new to Making. Ken's favorite maker tool is the Crop-A-Dile, a classroom game changer when in comes papermech.
